Magic Me - Book Launch
The Art & DT Department secured the funding for an intergeneration art project to take place across the autumn term. Ten new Y9 students have been working collaboratively with twelve local older people over the age of sixty to design and produced the recipes and art work for the Chobham International Cook Book.
The project spanned 14 weeks during art allocated teaching time with a range of cooking, ceramics, painting, drawing, carving and large scale sculpture construction.
Over the fourteen weeks many ‘family secret recipes’ from Chobham students’ parents and carers were prepared and may well feature in the book celebrating their success.
The launch took place on 20th January, and celebrated the outstanding work of participants on the project.
